Orders and shipping
Where does The Good Shelf ship from?
Every order ships from the United States. We do not drop-ship from overseas, so there are no customs fees or surprise import charges.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is free on orders over $50. Below that, standard shipping is calculated at checkout based on your address.
How long does delivery take?
Orders placed before 2 pm ET ship the same business day. Standard delivery takes 2 to 5 business days across the contiguous US.
Can I track my order?
Yes. You receive a tracking link by email as soon as your parcel leaves the warehouse, and you can follow it from your account.
Returns and refunds
What is your return policy?
Unopened, sealed products can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Opened fragrances and cosmetics cannot be returned for hygiene reasons unless they arrived damaged.
My order arrived damaged. What do I do?
Send us a photo within 7 days of delivery and we will ship a replacement or refund you, whichever you prefer.
How long do refunds take?
Refunds are issued within 3 business days of receiving your return and appear on your statement within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank.
Products and authenticity
Are the products on The Good Shelf authentic?
Yes. Every product is sourced directly from the brand or its authorized distributor and sold in original retail packaging. We do not sell decants, testers or refills.
What are inspired scents?
Inspired scents are fragrances built around the same olfactory family and main notes as famous designer or niche perfumes, sold under their own brand at a much lower price. Brands like Divain identify each scent by number rather than by the name of the perfume it resembles.
Do you sell Divain in the US?
Yes. The Good Shelf stocks Divain perfumes and ships them from the United States. See our Divain guide for equivalences and how to choose.
Are your skincare and makeup products cruelty-free?
We list cruelty-free and vegan status on each product page when the brand certifies it. Use the filters on any collection page to show only cruelty-free or vegan products.
How should I store perfume?
Keep bottles away from direct sunlight and heat, ideally in their box. Stored well, a perfume keeps its character for 3 to 5 years.
